Melanotaenia ammeri (often referred to as Ammer’s Rainbowfish) is a rare New Guinea rainbowfish species that occasionally appears in the specialist aquarium trade. Peaceful, active, and best kept in groups, this rainbowfish shines in a well-planted community setup where males can display their strongest color.
